Substitute Teachers

Hope Hall is a small private school located in Gates NY. We are seeking qualified substitute teachers to fill immediate openings.

Purpose: Teach and supervise assigned students with appropriate learning experiences in credential authorized area.  

Essential Duties and responsibilities, listed but not limited, below:

• Plans and provides for appropriate learning experiences for students.
• Supervises students in a variety of school-related settings.
• Communicates and interacts with students, staff, and community.
• Provides an atmosphere and environment conducive to the intellectual, physical, social, and the emotional development of students.
• Strives to maintain and improve professional competence.
• Maintains appropriate records and follows required procedures and practices.
• Monitors appropriate use and care of equipment, materials, and facilities.
• Performs other related duties as required.

Experience, Education & Skills Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
• Master’s degree in subject matter field or Education is strongly preferred
• Must possess current New York teacher certification, or be working toward certification                                                                                    
• Solid knowledge of subject matter, including Common Core Standards and subject-specific frameworks and assessments is preferred
• Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written)
• Must be computer literate (MS Office)
